“My rowing journey began at Methodist College Belfast in 2017, and in 2021/22, I had the proud privilege of serving as captain, leading the team to qualify the school’s first boat for Henley in 15 years. The following season, I joined Queen’s University Belfast, and it has been an unforgettable experience ever since. Competing in prestigious events like BUCS and the Irish Championships, while also serving as captain, has been truly rewarding. Queen’s Rowing has not only shaped me as an athlete but has also provided a supportive and dynamic environment that has pushed me to reach new heights. I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing opportunities and lasting memories it has given me!”

“Joining Queen’s Rowing as a complete beginner in 2021 was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I stepped into the boat, I was hooked—not just on the sport, but on the incredible sense of community within the club. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of competing at novice and intermediate levels in events across the UK and Ireland, with some unforgettable highlights, including medalling in the novice 8+ at BUCS and racing at Henley Women’s Regatta, both in the 4- in 2023 and in the 1x in 2024. Rowing has become the highlight of my day. There’s nothing better than being on the river with friends, pushing each other to succeed, and supporting one another through every challenge. The camaraderie, the hard work, and the shared pursuit of excellence make Queen’s Rowing truly special.”
