Strathclyde training camp; Lagan Head of the River 2008
Queen’s Rowing recently returned from their training camp in Strathclyde where the crews were put through their paces off the back of the examination period. The camp was tough and much blood and sweat was shed. This should iron out any creases and pounds accumulated during Christmas, and hours spent studying at a desk.
This weekend the Lagan Head of the River is due to take place with the men’s club entering four eights. Crews have been set and each will be hoping for the win and to upset local rivals. BRC have stated their claims, but this Saturday will be the first true test to see if they can put their money where their mouth is.
Unfortunately the entry has been depleted somewhat with Dublin Head running on the same day. However, Queen’s are looking forward to their first encounter with the southern crews in the forthcoming weeks.
All support from the sidelines would be greatly appreciated. Lets make Saturday a good days racing!
