Tideway HRR
The senior men put in a strong performance last Saturday at the London HRR. Out of a field of almost 400 the crews came in at 15th and 22nd – the only pure university squad to achieve two crews in the top 25.
This weekend sees the whole club in action in the Irish University Championships in Cork. The focus will be on both men and women’s eights aiming to lift both the Wylie and Bank of Ireland cups. It is expected that both UCD and UCG will be fielding strong crews, which will be a challenge for the senior men only a week after their performance on the Thames. The women’s squad has had a little longer to recover from their trip to London and will be hoping for a good result at both novice in intermediate level.
