Clubs’ History

Founded in 1931, QUBBC has a well-established history of rowing successes in Great Britain, Ireland, and worldwide. Every September, we welcome a large cohort of Novice men and women to join our committed Intermediate and Senior squads, with the goal of furthering our triumphs.

Recent results include a dominant regatta season for our 2018-19 Men’s Novice 4x, making them both British and Irish champions. The Novice Women’s 4x won Irish Championships and had a strong race at BUCS, placing 4th.

We finished the year with two Elite Athlete Programme athletes competing at World Under-23 Championships, bringing home a Bronze medal in the Lightweight Men’s 4x. We also had four athletes representing Ireland, Scotland, and Wales at the Home International Regatta 2019.

With our state-of-the-art boathouse, strong team of talented coaches and dedicated athletes, Queen’s University Belfast Boat Clubs is a machine built for performance, and we want you on board to help make this happen.
