Clean sweep for Queen’s
All four Queen’s crews had convincing wins at the Ramada University Boat Race this afternoon on the Lagan. The novice women were down off the start in their race against Trinity, but sticking to their race plan rowed the opposition down crossing the line with clear water. The novice men dispatched Trinity novices with a forensic display, and while the two senior crews from University College Cork gave brave performances they were no match for the Queen’s senior crews.
Congratulations to all the crews and coaches, and bring on Henley!!
Well done QUBBC. And thanks for keeping us ‘old guys’ in the picture. Saturday was a festive occasion, both on and off the water. My good friends and fellow-crew members Ian Henderson and Graham Leckey (’56’57 Irish Championship crews) would both love to have been there but are in touch with the news. See a lot of you at HenleyGordon Gray (Captain 1958)
