Mark Pollock Trust Fundraiser – 4 Peaks Challenge
Mark Pollock Trust Fundraiser – 4 Peaks Challenge
A group of former QUBBC rowers are taking on the 4 highest peaks in Ireland, within 48hrs, to raise money for the Mark Pollock Trust.
For over a decade Mark Pollock was known as an inspiration, an adventure athlete competing in the world’s harshest environments despite becoming completely blind at the age of 22. On the night of the 2nd of July 2010 everything changed again. He fell from a second story window fracturing his skull, some ribs and breaking his back in a number of places leaving him paralysed from the waist down.
Mark has embarked on a spinal injury activity based recovery programme. You can read more about his story at http://www.markpollocktrust.org/marks-story
The team taking part in the challenge includes Ben Finlay, Felix Rice, James Graham, Vinny McIlduff, David Russell, Rachel Beringer, Driver: Padraig O’Brien.
